A project to build a model of the Horten Ho 229 V3 cockpit in 1:1 scale. The purpose is to serve as a prop for an upcoming National Geographic documentary on the Ho 229.

Seat nearly done!


The seat is done except for the headrest. The real seat had sheet metal lining the sides also, but I'm going to forgo that to speed things up.

    and the dash! slick! Your welding skills look top notch to me. How are you going to stick the pvc pipe together on the cockpit frame? will you bind it ? I see you have used screws, but will they hold?

  2. Thanks Chris. The welding isn't so hard once you get the hang of it. I'm planning to glue the framework together once everything is test fitted. Don't worry, when it's done there will be plenty of pics!
