Almost done!

The instrument panel and throttle quadrant are nearly done. I'm also casting the stick handle. I made a mold from Silicone RTV. I'll post some pictures when it's cured.

Throttle quadrant

Worked on the throttle/fuel cock controls this weekend.

The geometry and movement are per the original, straight off the production drawings. They're not connected to anything though :-)

The forward handles are the throttles. The rear two are the "Brandhahn" (fuel cock) controls which control the flow of fuel to the turbojets. The rear position was "Zu" (off), and the two stepped positions (mid, forward) fed fuel from the two different fuel tanks.

Cockpit framework, seat and stick are done

I shipped this off via UPS this morning.

Couldn't resist trying it on for size. This was *not* a spacious cockpit!

Seat nearly done!

The seat is done except for the headrest. The real seat had sheet metal lining the sides also, but I'm going to forgo that to speed things up.
